Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Substack’s New York offices where I was fortunate enough to meet Ben Cohen, Meghan Boilard, Phil @ Substack, and Jack They were great hosts and very gracious. Here are a few shots from the offices there.
And how I could visit the offices without paying homage to the Substack logo carved into some substance that looks like butter? I believe the title of the piece is I Can’t Believe It’s Not Beehiiv! I know that’s a bad joke, but you get what you pay for. My paid subscribers received a funny joke instead. Not really.
Lastly, here’s a picture of me, Ben, Jack, and the logo. Phil had left before the picture was taken.
This week’s newsletter is a little different in that I am sharing a livestream that I did while I was at Substack. If you ever wanted to hear what I sound like when I’m nervous, this is the show for you! In this video, I speak to Phil and Ben about the stats dashboard, ways to use Substack tools to spike curiosity, and what Substack is doing to expose more long form content to potential readers.
Thanks for reading and being a subscriber!
